Where to park in Estartit?
L’Estartit is one of the Costa Brava towns with the most parking spaces. Here we explain different options to help you plan your visit:
The Beach Parking
It’s the largest parking lot in L’Estartit and it’s free all year round. This is the one we usually recommend if you want to park hassle-free and spend the day in L’Estartit. There are almost always spaces available; it only gets tricky during special events (like the Ítaca Festival) or on certain days in August.
You can access it from this point on Google Maps.
If you choose this one, you can turn to the left if you want to be closer to the port. Once you have parked, you only have to follow the pedestrian pavement to the end of it until you reach the port (it is a 10–15 minutes walk, depending on the area where you park and your pace!).
During summer, there are open public toilets, but out of season, you will find them in Plaça de la Llevantina, along the pedestrian pavement.
In the streets of the town
In l’Estartit center, many streets have blue-zone parking. There is also some in front of the port, near our kiosk, but spaces are limited. Blue-zone parking is paid from June to September (daily, during continuous hours) and free the rest of the year.
L’Estartit also offers free parking spaces on other streets in town.
Nautic Club Parking
The Nautic Club of Estartit has a parking area (for a fee) within its facilities. It is a convenient option for those who need to come to the port, which is less than a 5-minute walk away. There are almost always spaces available, except for some days in August or when special events are held in the town.
Free parking at the entrance to the town
At the entrance to l'Estartit there is a free deterrent parking lot in front of La Masia apartments, with capacity for about 100 vehicles. It is a visitor reception point and has public toilets and a rest area with benches and shade. Although it’s a bit further from the port area, it’s a good option on days when special events take place in town and parking in the center is more difficult. L’Estartit is flat and easy to explore on foot with a pleasant walk.
Practical tips for parking in l’Estartit
- Check events and arrive early: During special events like the ÍTACA Festival (usually around Sant Joan) or market days in August (Thursdays), traffic can be heavier and finding parking may be more challenging—but it’s still possible if you arrive early.
- Sustainable mobility: L’Estartit is flat and pleasant for walking or cycling, so once your car is parked—or if you’re staying nearby—you can get around easily without a vehicle.
